Packaged Business Capabilities

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs) can be defined as software components representing a well-defined business capability, functionally recognizable as such by a business user. Packaged Business Capabilities are technically a collection of services, APIs, and solutions that can act as a bridge between microservices that are difficult to manage and broader applications.

They differ from microservices in that a PBC involves a collection of APIs and services that serve a specific business capability, while microservices are more tightly scoped and granular.

Composable enterprise

Composable enterprise is a new concept introduced by Gartner, and it basically means an organization that delivers business outcomes and adapts to the pace of business change through the assembly and combination of packaged business capabilities.
