Padma Shankar

Padma Shankar is an internationally acclaimed professional Violinist, Vocalist and Educator. She is recognised for her soulful performances delivered with artistes of multiple disciplines and curates projects that find connections between music of all eras from traditional to contemporary. Violin being her strength and forte, Padma went on to pursue advanced training and professional performance skills under the tutelage of the Violin Maestro Lalgudi G Jayaraman. Padma is also one of the few privileged artistes who learnt to sing Dr M Balamuralikrishna's compositions directly from the maestro himself.

  Having completed her masters in Music , Padma is also an "A" grade artiste in All India Radio and Doordarshan. She is the founder CEO of Violin Padma Music Learning Centre and also an Advisor to Shankar Mahadevan Academy wherein she has developed and created the entire curriculum for Carnatic Music. 

She has performed in Leading organisations and Major festivals all over the world.
