The Pakistan Muaythai Federation is the Pakistan’s official national governing body for the sport of Muay thai.[1]

First National Muaythai Championship was organized in February 2007. All provincial (Punjab, Sindh, KPK/NWFP and Balochistan), teritories (Islamabad and Azad Jammu Kashmir) and departmental teams (Police and Railways) participated.

Pakistan participated in the World Championship in December 2007.[2] Muaythai is a IOC (International Olympic Comittee) recognized sport under the umbrella of International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA). [3] Federation of Asian Muaythai Associations (FAMA)[4] is recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). [5]

Last year (february 2020), 5th National Muaythai Championship was organized as part of Punjab Martial Arts Games.[6] The Games were organized by Punjab Sports Board in Lahore. Team Wapda won the trophy. [7]

A new series of Muaythai tournament "Pakistan Muaythai League" was recently initiated by Pakistan Muaythai federation. The first episode was organized in Lahore on 3rd January 2021.

Mission of PMF os to promote and develop MuayThai into the leading local and international combat sport by generating awareness and encouraging participation, inculcating the virtues of respect, confidence, self-discipline and perseverance, inherent in the art.
