Palm (programming language)
Palm is an interpreted, high-level, programming language which transpiles to Python. Created in 2019 by the MyPalm organisation, the programming language is flexible and has the aim to revolutionize mobile code by promoting native mobile app development.[1]
Palm differentiates from Python as it has static typing and promotes quick and light development as it aims to reach mobile platforms. Its syntax is aimed to facilitate the development for new users.
The first versions enable basic imperative programming with simple conditions, loops, structure, array management and quick operations that run on a shell-based interpreter.
Palm root.0.0.1 was first released on the 20th of November 2019[2], featuring an interpreter that can run on Windows. The next version was released two weeks later[3] and corrected bugs and added a few minor features.
Palm announced in the beginning of December 2019[4] that the next version would be Palm root.0.0.4 with many new features such as functional programming, advanced commands and datatypes.
