Paloma Esquivel is a reporter for the Los Angeles Times. According to the LA Times, "she was on the team that won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for public service for investigating corruption in the city of Bell, and the team that won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news for coverage of the San Bernardino terror attack."[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education

Esquivel graduated from UC Berkeley.[5] She also has a master’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University.[6]

Career

Esquivel has worked as a staffer for the Los Angeles Times and as a freelance journalist for a variety of publications.

Awards and honors

Esquivel has been part of two Pulitzer Prize-winning journalism teams.[7][8][9] According to the University of California website, "Esquivel was one of the first reporters on the scene and broke a number of photos and details on her Twitter account."[10]

She was also a USC Center for Health Journalism Fellow.[11]
