PanTum Detect is a blood test for the early detection of cancer. It is based on EDIM (Epitope Detection in Monocytes) technology and has been developed to provide indications for the presence of a tumor disease by detecting the markers TKTL1 and DNaseX (Apo10) in the blood. In case of an abnormal result, clarification by imaging procedures (PET/CT and MRI) is recommended.

The test was used at the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf in a prospective multicenter study evaluating combined cancer screening by PanTum Detect and MRI/PET-CT to identify individuals from an asymptomatic group of subjects (over 5,000 50- to 70-year-olds) who are likely to benefit from further imaging.[1][2]

PanTum Detect officially received its market approval in 2017, and has been part of HanseMerkur health insurance's KrebsScan early detection program since September 2022.
