The Pangasinan Waves were a professional basketball team in the now-defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association from 1998, 1999, and 2002. The Pangasinan team changed its name from Pangasinan Presidents into Pangasinan Waves because Pangasinan has big waves at Lingayen Gulf. The team owner of the team is Tim Orbos, a brother of Gov. Oscar Orbos from Bani, Pangasinan. Pangasinan team is one of the 12 original teams in the MBA.
