Panion is a social networking service developed by the Swedish company, Panion Tech AB. It is a keyword-searchable social platform that connects people based on common interests, goals, values, location, and experiences. Panion was launched worldwide in December 2017. It is available in English as a mobile app for iOS and Android. Panion’s headquarters is located in Malmö.

History[edit]

Derived from the word English word "companion," Panion (/pænjən/) was founded by Melanie Aronson in 2017. Development of a concept prototype of the app began in 2017 after an initial round of seed funding. Panion launched a beta in the iOS App Store in December 2017[1]. In February 2018, Panion joined Fast Track Malmö, a startup accelerator program in Malmö, Sweden[2]. At the end of 2018, the company released Panion 1.0 for both platforms. The app is now available for download in both the App Store and Google Play Store.
