Panthera tigris is a subspecies of tiger, it existed in the early Pleistocene. Its native to Asia. The subspecies has a muscular body with a large head and paws, a long tail, and orange fur with black stripes. It is classified into 6 populations that includes the Bengal tiger, Caspian tiger, Siberian tiger, South China tiger, and Malayan tiger.

history: P.t. tigris is the most distant relative of Panthera tigris. The split happened around the early Pleistocene. It used to live all around Eurasia, but due to the decline, it is now classified endangered. Some tigers were native in Europe, also known as the caspain tiger and now extinct, likely due to climate change.

origin: It originated from Turkey around the early Pleistocene.
