Panties Productions
Panties Productions was an all-female, slightly feminist Canadian theatre company from Edmonton, Alberta. It was founded in 2002 by Jocelyn Ahlf, Belinda Cornish,[1] Jana O'Connor, Celina Stachow and Dana Wylie to create work for comic actresses.[citation needed] The company produced six original plays (including a Richard the Third adaptaion Hump, heavy metal musical Paradise City, and pocket drama Princess). They also toured in Canada with their musical about Lydia Thompson, Burlesque.[citation needed] In 2005, they received an Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award for their surreal sketch comedy show Lobster Telephone, co-written with Mark Meer,[2][3] which was then toured by Dad's Garage Theatre Company in Atlanta, and the Improv Olympic West in Los Angeles. Panties Productions worked with and was fostered by Rapid Fire Theatre.[citation needed]
