Parallax are an English band, based in Cambridgeshire / Bedfordshire, UK
History
Formation
Parallax (stylised as P A R A L L A X) was formed after the split of two bands, Scar City & AR. Both of the previous bands had success with Scar City performing at the prestigious Bloodstock Festival and AR who toured the UK with Sacred Mother Tongue. Coming from Scar City are the vocalist and drummer, Nathan & Darren Holt. Also, the two members previously of AR are guitarist John Isaac and bassist Simon Edwards. Completing the line-up is guitar player Chris Andrews, who is a gold level qualified Taylor Guitars technician.
Before the official announcement made on their Facebook page [1], there were two previous guitarists who briefly played in the band. Firstly Ian Moore, who was also formerly of Scar City and then Joe Savage, who currently plays in the band Kill Confirmed.
Current status
Shortly after the official announcement, Parallax also confirmed that a music video for the track "Hold On" will be released in October 2018. Their first gig was booked at the Bedford Esquires on November 3rd, 2018.
Future
Parallax plan to release a self-titled 5 track EP later in 2018 which will then be followed up by shows all across the East Anglia area.
