Parbhani was once under the governance of the Nizam and later incorporated into Hyderabad State. With the Indian-led reorganization of states in 1956, it was merged into Bombay State and has been part of Maharashtra since 1960. Parbhani is known for its historical monuments and religious sites, making it a popular destination for those interested in exploring the rich cultural heritage of the region. Parbhani district is well known for the Hyderabadi annexation. In 1724, after the battle of Sakharkheda, it went under the Nizam's Muslim rule respectively.
