Parcel Perform

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Parcel Perform is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that provides a data and delivery experience platform for e-commerce businesses.[1] Headquartered in Singapore, the company was founded in 2016 by Dr. Arne Jeroschewski and Dana von der Heide.[2][3] Parcel Perform integrates with carriers to provide shipment tracking and other post-purchase services for merchants and their customers. The platform has over 700 carriers integrated and processes more than 100 million parcel tracking updates daily.[4]

In August 2021, the company announced it had raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Cambridge Capital, with participation from SoftBank Ventures Asia and other investors.[4][5] At the time of the funding, Parcel Perform stated it was already profitable and had grown its revenue by five times since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

History

Founding and early years (2016–2019)

Dr. Arne Jeroschewski and Dana von der Heide founded Parcel Perform in Singapore in 2016.[2][3] The co-founders, who had met while working in international logistics, aimed to address gaps they observed in e-commerce logistics, particularly in data standardization and transparency.[6]

Von der Heide identified that many e-commerce retailers lacked refined logistics data and control over the post-checkout experience for their customers.[7] Jeroschewski brought experience from his previous roles, including serving as VP of Business Development for DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific and co-founding the e-commerce company ZALORA.[8]

Growth and expansion (2019–2021)

On August 11, 2021, Parcel Perform raised $20 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Cambridge Capital and included new investor SoftBank Ventures Asia, alongside existing investors Wavemaker Partners and Investible.[4][5] At that time, the company reported that its platform helped businesses increase customer lifetime value by up to 40%. The funding was intended to support global expansion, including the establishment of a regional headquarters in North America and an increase in its global workforce to 150 employees by the end of 2021.

Recent developments (2022–Present)

In September 2024, Parcel Perform launched a partnership program intended for collaboration within the e-commerce logistics industry.[9] In 2025, the company announced the integration of AI Decision Intelligence features across its platform, marketing itself as an AI-powered delivery experience platform.[1]

Products and services

Parcel Perform provides a modular SaaS platform that allows e-commerce businesses to manage different stages of the delivery journey. Each module is designed to address specific challenges within the logistics and customer experience lifecycle.

AI decision intelligence

As supply chains become more complex, logistics managers increasingly rely on artificial intelligence to interpret vast amounts of data and automate decisions.[10] Officially launched in March 2025, Parcel Perform's AI Decision Intelligence suite applies machine learning to logistics data to provide predictive insights. Its features include proactive monitoring to flag potential shipment delays, automated performance alerts, and a proprietary 'Date of Arrival' prediction engine. The suite also includes an "AI Navigator" tool that generates summaries and actionable recommendations for logistics teams.[11]

Post-purchase

After a customer places an order, a lack of communication can lead to "Where Is My Order?" (WISMO) inquiries, which represent a significant operational cost for customer service teams.[12] The Post-Purchase Experience module is designed to reduce these inquiries by providing customers with a branded tracking page that shows the real-time status of their shipment. The service also includes proactive email and SMS notifications that update customers at key delivery stages, aiming to improve customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Checkout

Industry research consistently shows that high or unclear shipping costs and uncertain delivery timelines are primary drivers of shopping cart abandonment.[13] To address this, the Checkout Experience module integrates with a merchant's e-commerce store to display precise delivery date predictions and a range of shipping options from multiple carriers directly at the point of sale. The goal is to increase conversion rates by providing customers with transparency and choice before they finalize their purchase.

Logistics

For internal operations teams, managing a network of multiple shipping carriers often results in fragmented data and a lack of unified visibility, making it difficult to assess performance.[14] The Logistics Experience module acts as a centralized control tower. It standardizes data from over 1,000 integrated carriers into a single dashboard, enabling logistics managers to monitor carrier performance, analyze transit times, identify delivery exceptions, and manage logistics operations across their entire network.

Returns

Reverse logistics, or the process of handling returns, is a major financial and operational challenge for e-commerce retailers.[15] The Returns Experience module provides a self-service, brandable online portal for customers to initiate returns. The platform allows merchants to configure return rules, offer various return methods (such as drop-off locations or home pickups), and automate customer communications regarding the status of their return and refund, thereby streamlining the process for both the customer and the business.

Operations

Parcel Perform has a global presence with offices in Singapore, Vietnam, Germany, and the United States. Its headquarters are located at 138 Cecil Street in Singapore.[16]

The company's customer base includes brands such as Puma, TikTok, Nespresso, and Shopify. According to Nespresso's Global Delivery Services Manager, implementing Parcel Perform's track-and-trace solution across all continents resulted in up to a 45% decrease in customer service calls in some markets.[4]

Leadership

  • Dr. Arne Jeroschewski is the Founder and CEO.[8] He holds a Ph.D. in Regulatory Economics and previously held management positions at DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific, Singapore Post Ltd, and co-founded ZALORA.
  • Dana von der Heide is the Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer.[7] Prior to founding Parcel Perform, she held roles in global strategy and business development in the logistics sector.[6]

Recognition

Parcel Perform has been recognized as a Leader in the Multicarrier Parcel Management Solutions category by the software review platform G2.[17] The company was also featured in the ORIGIN Innovation Awards for its work in the logistics industry.[18]
