Parisi Vending Co., Inc. is a bulk gum, candy, toy, plush and novelties route operations company headquartered in Oceanside, New York. Parisi Vending owns and operates bulk vending machines installed in major retail stores across the United States.

Founder Frank Parisi[edit]

Early days[edit]

Owner and founder Frank Parisi was born and raised in the bulk vending industry.[1] His father, Peter Parisi, was in the business, having purchased Eppy Charm Company from Sidney Eppy in 1973.[2] The elder Parisi changed the name to Alper Industries and was a major supplier to Folz Vending, once the largest bulk vending company in the United States. Alper Industries initially produced charms and capsules for coin-operated machines.[3]

Launching the company[edit]

When Frank Parisi was born, Roger Folz, owner of Folz Vending, and his wife, Adele, gave him his first gumball machine.[1] For his 13th birthday, Frank received a two-column Steiner baseball card machine at the National Bulk Vending Association (NBVA) trade show.[2] He would take the machine and operate it at baseball card shows. By 1994, at age 18, Frank Parisi was in business. He installed a two-machine gumball and capsule toy rack at his local barbershop, George's Hair Salon, in New Rochelle, New York, and founded Parisi Vending Company, Inc. At the time, he was a freshman at Iona College.[2]

Growing the company[edit]

In 2011, Parisi introduced the All American Chicken Vending Machine, an updated version of a classic animated bulk vendor designed to capture children's attention with flashing lights, music or sound effects, and an animated chicken.[4]

In 2017, Parisi brough back a classic bulk-vending premium when he introduced a line of lollipops shaped like miniature tools reminiscent of the toy pops offered by Eppy Charm Company in the early 1950s. The first line contained eight miniature tools in assorted colors.[5]

Parisi today[edit]

Parisi's All American Chicken Machine can be found in retail stores around the world, including China, Pakistan, Europe and the Middle East. It appears under its own brand as well as private-label custom equipment in the Golden Chick fast-food chain.[5]

The company continues to grow. Parisi Industrial Company (HK, Ltd., is a subsidiary of Parisi Vending Co. Inc. with Frank Parisi as managing director. Parisi Industrial Company (HK), Ltd., is a plastics injection molding and design company with offices in Wanchai, Hong Kong, and Oceanside, New York. The company represents GoodMark, one of China's largest injection modling companies, and offers multi-national sourcing options.[6]
