Parnia Porsche (born 7 May 1995)[1] is an Australian model and actress who has featured on the cover of Maxim, Playboy and FHM. [2] [3]

Career[edit]

Porsche has featured on the cover of Playboy worldwide including Playboy Sweden, Playboy South Africa and Playboy Africa.[4] [5] In February 2017 she featured on the cover of Maxim Australia which was her third cover for the magazine. [6] [7] In 2017 she was number 16 on the Maxim Hot 100 List. [8]

Television[edit]

Porsche is an ambassador for Australian car servicing franchise Ultra Tune. She stars with fellow ambassador Laura Lydall in several of their television adverts in Australia. The adverts caused huge controversy in Australia as they featured the girls in ‘unexpected situations’ which were deemed to be sexist by critics.[9][10] Their advert was the most complained about advert in Australia in 2016 with 418 complaints and the 2nd most complained about advert of all time. [11] [12] [13]

Porsche was interviewed by Neil Mitchell on 3AW and defended the adverts, stating that they were simply ‘a bit of fun’.[14] Both Laura Lydall and Parnia Porsche wrote an open letter to The Age newspaper in response to the controversy and stated that ‘We feel upset that you are publicly bullying and vilifying us on the basis of our appearance. It’s just plain wrong and unfair, Emma and Michael. Surely as independent strong women, we are allowed to choose without fear of prejudice or hurtful judgments about what we wear, how we look and the form of work we choose?’ They go on to say 'We think you are being too politically correct, taking cheap shots and missing the whole point of the commercials. Don’t you have a sense of humour? Don’t you see the point of the adverts? Can’t you see the funny side?'[15]

Porsche went on to feature in subsequent Ultra Tune adverts including one starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, which aired during the 2017 Australian Open. [16] She then featured in the 2018 advert which controversially starred Mike Tyson, and was subject to scrutiny and criticism. [17] [18] Porsche featured in the series Cruise Mode on Network Ten in 2016, starring Charli Robinson and Shannon Noll.[19]

In October 2018 Porsche filmed alongside Charlie Sheen for the 7th installment of the controversial Ultra Tune adverts. [20] [21] [22] [23]
