Parramatta Bus Service/Company was an Australian bus company operating timetabled route bus services, school bus services and charter coaches in Sydney.
History
Parramatta Bus Service commenced in 1932 from a depot on Briens Road at Northmead, close to North Parramatta. The impetus for the new service was the closure of the steam tram service from Westmead to Rogans Hill which was discontinued in the same year.
The depot was later moved to the corner of Church and Dunlop Streets at Northmead. The Bosnjak family purchased the company in 1963. In September 1978 the depot and office were moved to the present location on Boundary Road, Northmead. In 1984 the company was rebranded as Westbus.
Parramatta Bus Service commenced with the route number 200 which served the towns of Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, Winston Hills, Kellyville, Rouse Hill, and Rogans Hill from the Parramatta station, along with many school bus routes in the Hills District area.
