Partap Chauhan is an Indian Ayurvedic doctor and the pioneer of online Ayurvedic medicine.[1][2] He started the world’s first online Ayurvedic clinic, Ayurvedic.org, in the year 1995.[3] Chauhan is the winner of UN’s World Summit Award for his Teledoc project on rural medicine.[4]
He is the founder of Jiva Ayurveda, an Ayurvedic company which offers online, telephonic and personal consultation to patients across the world.[5]
Early life and education[edit]
Chauhan was born in Palla, a village in Faridabad, Haryana (India), on January 15, 1964. He received his school education in Palla, after which he did his B.A.M.S. from Tibia College, University of Delhi. Upon completion of his formal education, he did a five-year apprenticeship with Ayurveda expert, Nanak Chand Sharma, who taught him Ayurvedic Pharmacology, Alchemy and Rasashastra.

- Co-winner of World Summit Award for e-Health given by World Summit Award Foundation (2003).[6] He won the award with Steven Paul Rudolph, Educational Director of Jiva Institute.

- Best Indian Website Award given to Ayurvedic.org created by Chauhan (1998)
- Promotion of Ayurveda Globally Award by Government of India (2001)
- Best of Net Award for the best alternative medicine website (1997)
- Best Ayurvedic Drug Manufacturing Unit to Jiva Ayurvedic Pharmacy, founded by Chauhan (2005)
Chauhan is a member of the Advisory Committee, Ministry of Health, Government of India, and the prestigious NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association), USA. He serves as the Chairman, International Cell to AIIMGA (All India Indian Medicine Graduate Association, New Delhi). He is a visiting faculty in Ayurveda Gurukula, Japan and Kripalu School of Ayurveda, USA.[8] He is also an advisor to Ayurveda.pl in Poland.
