Partap Chauhan is an Indian Ayurvedic doctor and the pioneer of online Ayurvedic medicine. [1] [2] He started the world's first online Ayurvedic clinic, Ayurvedic.org, in the year 1995. [3] Chauhan is the winner of the UN's World Summit Award for his Teledoc project on rural medicine. [4]
He is the founder of Jiva Ayurveda, an Ayurvedic company which offers online, telephonic and personal consultation to patients across the world. [5]
Early life and education
Chauhan was born in Palla, a village in Faridabad, Haryana (India), on January 15, 1964. He received his school education in Palla, after which he did his B.A.M.S. from Tibia College, University of Delhi. Upon completion of his formal education, he did a five-year apprenticeship with Ayurveda expert Nanak Chand Sharma, who taught him Ayurvedic Pharmacology, Alchemy and Rasashastra.

Chauhan is a member of the Advisory Committee, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (India), Government of India, and the prestigious NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association), USA. He serves as the Chairman, International Cell to AIIMGA (All India Indian Medicine Graduate Association, New Delhi). He is a visiting faculty in Ayurveda Gurukula, Japan and Kripalu School of Ayurveda, USA. [8] He is also an advisor to Ayurveda.pl in Poland.
