Partiboi69 is an Australian electronic music musician.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

He primarily is associated with music in the ghetto house, miami bass, electro, & Detroit techno genres.[8]

Life and career[edit]

He is associated with the Melbourne techno scene and was born in that city. Prior to his electronic music career, he played in bands. His former stage name was 'Stingray', and in 2018 he started performing under his current stage name.[9] He later gained profile after music videos and DJ sets on his YouTube channel went viral.[1]

In his early DJ career he was a regular performer at Melbourne's Yah Yah's.[9]

He is also known for his YouTube music videos, which have been described as a 'truly absurd YouTube channel that feels like a ketamine, techno and New Balance-fueled version of Tim & Eric Awesome Show'.[2]

In 2022 he was featured on Triple J's Mix Up, later in the same month he performed at Berghain.[10][11] In Feb 2023 he performed a Boiler Room set.[12]

In July 2022 he was criticised by Anu Shukla of Resident Advisor for his frequent sampling of 'ghettotech' music, in an article making criticisms relating to cultural appropriation.[13]
