Pattanath Srisukho (born 1958) is a Thai physician and surgeon known for his work in rural healthcare in Phichit Province.[1] He has been associated with the development of local medical services, including disease prevention, treatment programs, and access to healthcare for underserved communities.[1] Pattanath Srisukho later became the medical director of Srisukho Hospital, a private healthcare facility established in the late 2000s.[1]
Early life and education
Pattanath Srisukho was born in 1958 in Thailand. He was raised in a modest socioeconomic background. His mother, Amporn Tancharoen, worked as a dressmaker and raised him as a single parent.[2] He pursued medical education in Thailand, graduated from Siriraj hospital and later completed specialist training in general surgery at Siriraj Hospital.[3]
Career
After completing his medical training, Pattanath Srisukho worked as a physician in rural areas, since 1983, serving in Phichit Province from 1988 onward. His work focused on improving access to healthcare services, including surgery and preventive care and treatment for underserved populations..[1]
Dr.Pattanath Srisukho co-founded a medical practice with Dr. Chanwalee Srisukho, which later expanded into Srisukho Polyclinic and subsequently developed into Srisukho Hospital around 2007–2008. He has served as the hospital’s medical director.[4][5]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he contributed to efforts aimed at improving vaccine access for underserved populations, in line with national vaccination campaigns and outreach programs reported in Thai public health coverage.[1]
Personal life
Pattanath Srisukho is married to Dr. Chanwalee Srisukho. The couple met during their early medical training in Phitsanulok Province. They have 3 children, including Chanesd Srisukho, who later founded a medical clinic in Bangkok.[6]
