Paul David Pantera (born September 7, 1975), born Kwasi Jelani Smith, is an American multimedia producer, author, music producer, public speaker, and businessperson. He is known for his literature, music, and business work, particularly as the author of the "Lateral Thinking Lessons and Puzzles" and the "Super Basic" book series. He is a retired US Navy veteran.

Early life and education[edit]

Paul Pantera was born on September 7, 1975, in Baltimore, Maryland. He pursued higher education at Clark Atlanta University, receiving a bachelor of arts in business administration focusing on marketing. He currently attends National University and is completing an MBA in financial management program.

Paul has also completed several advanced technical training programs related to his military career, including Advanced Technical Training and Fire Controlman and AEGIS Fire Controlman Computer Networking Technician.

Career[edit]

Pantera was a US Navy veteran who held the Fire Controlman AEGIS First Class position before starting his multimedia production and business. His Naval assignment includes Pre-Commissioning USS WAYNE E. MEYER (DDG 108) from 2008 - 2013, completing 19 Navy/NASA Research Rocket Missions at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, as an ordnance safety from 2013 - 2016, as well as serving aboard USS SPRANCE (DDG 111) from 2017 - 2021,  in 2022, he began his career as an author and published several self-help and puzzle books, including Lateral Thinking Lessons and Puzzles and the Super Basic series.

Under the artists Pantera P. and Pantheria, Pantera produces Lo-fi Hip-Hop music. In addition to his work in literature and music, Pantera founded a clothing line named Panterax, selling various Luxury clothing items and fashion accessories.

Pantera is the CEO of Panterax Ltd, which oversees the Pantheria media collection. This collection includes a variety of books and journals aimed at enhancing creativity, leadership, and cognitive skills. Some notable works include "Lateral Thinking Lessons and Puzzles to Unlock Creativity and Leadership Ability" and "Pantheria Ultimate Puzzle Book."
