Paul Darbos (born December 25, 1990) is a French Internet celebrity.[1][2] He became famous on the Internet for his Twitter account in early 2011.
Early life and education[edit]
Darbos was born in Dax, Landes, France[3][4][5] and was raised by his single mother. At 21, he dropped out of Montesquieu University and Sorbonne University, Paris to study law for three years[6] but he stopped his studies to take advantage of his notoriety on the Internet.[7] Both his grandfather Claude Darbos and grand uncle Pierre Darbos were French rugby players.[8]

He is ranked 5th in the ranking of Top 20 Twitter accounts of French Youtubers.[9] He is equally popular on Instagram. Also he has amazed a huge following on social media channels and has a total reach of more than 2 million followers.
Twitter[edit]
Paul Darbos made his first appearance online on the social network Twitter[10] in December 2011. He quickly created his own circle of subscribers using different techniques (buzz, quotes, rumors and more)[11] With regular updates, it has become popular and currently has over 1.9 million followers.[12] He is ranked 5th in the Top 20 Twitter accounts of the most followed French Youtubers. He is also in the top 50 most followed French Twitter accounts.[13] On July 13, 2018, Twitter removed many fake followers on the social network and Paul lose 1,477,832 followers on his account[14].
Controversies[edit]
In the midst of Jeremstar's case (also known as "JeremstarGate"), on January 16, 2018, Paul Darbos posted conversations exchanged on Twitter with Pascal Cardonna, Jeremstar's friend involved in this case, in October and November 2017. The following month, he became the target of Internet users accusing him of having "sing" Pascal Cardonna. On February 21, 2018, Paul denies these accusations and restores the chronology of facts on the VSD (French magazine) magazine website.[15][16][17]
Participation[edit]
December 19, 2018, Paul shot in the music video of Urgence Homophobie organization called "Urgence Homophobie - De l'amour (clip officiel) on YouTube", song written by Patxi Garat, with more than 70 French personalities.[18][19][20][21][22]
