Paul Geurts van Kessel
Paul Geurts van Kessel (1988) is a Dutch entrepreneur.[1][2] Geurts van Kessel is best known as the founder of Regionaal Energieloket B.V. (REL).[3]
Biography
Geurts van Kessel studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Groningen. An internship in Indonesia then inspired him—by his own account—to focus on sustainability.[4][5]
Geurts van Kessel founded GreenHome (Bleeve)[4] and Regionaal Energieloket B.V. (REL).[3] By the end of 2024, Regionaal Energieloket B.V. had around 200 employees and was active in more than 100 municipalities.[6][7]
In 2016, Geurts van Kessel won the first edition of the Stuiveling Open Data Award with his company GreenHome (Bleeve);[8] in 2018 he served as a member of the jury for this award.[9] Also in 2018, the Dutch newspaper Trouw included Geurts van Kessel in its list of 100 sustainable “thinkers and doers,” ranking him at number 93.[2]
