Paul Jake Castillo (born December 22, 1984) is a Filipino actor, businessman and television personality.[1] He is known as the runner-up of Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and for his marriage to actress Kaye Abad.[2][3]
Early life and business
Born on December 22, 1984, castillo grew up in Cebu as an entrepreneur aside from being part of showbiz.[4] He is also part of the well-known Yobob Lechon de Cebu business.[5]
Career
Castillo was first noticed by the public as one of the housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up (2009–2010).[6][7] He came in as Second Big Placer (runner-up) with about 27% of the total votes.[8]
After being launched into fame by such programs, he pursued a career in acting.[9] A role in the romantic teleserye "Be Careful with My Heart" in 2012 as Simon Corpuz became his most notable TV role of his career as a supporting actor on long-time broadcast.[10] Here are some other television shows he has appeared in "Maria la del Barrio," "Maria Mercedes," and "Dream Dad" in addition to numerous episodes of "Maalaala Mo Kaya".[11]
He also appeared in supporting roles in No Other Woman (2011), A Secret Affair (2012), Momzillas (2013), ABNKKBSNPLAko?! (2014) and For the Hopeless Romantic (2015).[12]
Personal life
Castillo married actress Kaye Abad in December 2016 in Cebu.[13] The couple have children together.[14] They occasionally share family moments on social media.[15]
