Pulling It All Together by Paul Wharton[edit]

In January 2018, Paul’s first book “Pulling It All Together” was released by Skyhorse Publishing. This self-help book is dedicated to Paul's immediate family including his mother, father, sister, and nieces. Also, to his dearest mentors and friends. Paul starts his book with the life of Edith "Big Edie" Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale. Ever since Paul saw the 2009 HBO original film, "Grey Gardens" starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange, he set out to find the 1975 documentary film and other materials to learn more about the mother-daughter duo. As life would have it, years later Paul became friends with the home owners, Sally Quinn, Ben Bradlee, and their son Quinn (who married his close friend Pari). Since the passing of Ben in 2014, things were never quite the same at Grey Gardens for Sally.

In the summer of 2017, Sally extended an invitation to Paul and his mother to vacation at Grey Gardens, in the midst of him finishing his first book, "Pulling It All Together."

He knew it was only right for him to finish his manuscript in East Hampton, where he'd make a lifetime of memories. With the help of his mom, photographer, and friends, Paul was able to recreate some of the iconic Bouvier Beale shots as well as enjoy the beautiful home and gardens. Paul mentioned how after dinner every night, he would head up to Sally's writing room, which overlooks the pool and beautiful gardens, pop open his laptop and go to work, sending pages to his editor Mikail Chowdhury for review.

Paul is thankful for the creativity and guidance Grey Gardens provided him. He raised a glass to "Big and Little Edie" and to Sally Quinn for sharing the magic of the beautiful gardens with him. There are several recreated images from their time throughout his book.

His hope is that "Pulling It All Together" serves as a source of inspiration and motivation to you, just as Grey Gardens did for him.

Bringing together years of experience in the world of fashion and media, Paul walks you through his guide to pulling together all aspects of life including:

  • How to organize your wardrobe more efficiently
  • Ways to shop and dress perfectly for your body and budget
  • Beauty tips used by the stars that every woman/man needs to know
  • Eat and treat your body like a temple
  • Working out in a fun and efficient way
  • Strengthening your mind and helping you to perform & sleep better
