Jawad Asradi (Arabic: جواد أسرادي; born August 2, 1995, in Imouzzer Kandar), professionally known as Pause Flow, or recently just PAUSE,[1] is a Moroccan rapper recognized for his distinctive fusion of Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and Amazigh (Berber) linguistic elements in his music.[2] Emerging from Morocco's hip-hop scene, he has gained prominence for his philosophical and political lyricism, particularly through his exploration of the cultural traditions of the Atlas region. Philosophy starts with 'In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful'" - a commentary on the perceived dominance of religious frameworks in Moroccan academia.
Public Response
Facing backlash, Pause Flow clarified via Instagram that his criticism targeted religious hypocrisy rather than Islamic doctrine itself: "SALAAM is not the Prophet Muhammad. SALAAM represents those who weaponize religion - those who pray publicly to appear pious while attacking others in Islam's name, who interpret texts selectively to justify violence before authorities."[14]
