Pedro Afonso (born 10 January 2007) is a Portuguese professional sprinter who specialises in the 200 meters and 400 meters. He is a European U20 Championships medalist and a national record holder in his age category.

Afonso is a highly promising young athlete who has quickly become one of the top sprinters in Portugal, breaking several long-standing records.
National Records
400m: He holds the Portuguese National U20 record with a time of 45.78 seconds (July 2025). This time is also the second-best U20 time in Europe for 2025.[1]
200m: He holds the Portuguese National U20 record with a time of 20.66 seconds (July 2025), a performance that also made him the European U20 leader for the season.[2]
International Competitions
European U20 Championships: He won the silver medal in the 200m at the 2025 European U20 Championships in Tampere, Finland, a historic medal for a Portuguese male sprinter at the event.[3]
