Pendomer[edit]
Pendomer is a village and ancient parish 4.5 miles south-west of Yeovil. The area is 1,115 acres.[1]
Topography[edit]
Birt's Hill, which is over 500 feet above, sea-level, was, in 1887, used as a site to fire signal rockets to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Other significant high ground is at Pen Hill (365), and Abbot's Hill (c. 400).
The soil is loam and clay, and the subsoil is clay.[1]

In the 19th and early 20th century, the farms in the parish comprised: Abbot's Hill, Bryant's, Manor, Parsonage, and Pen Hill.
