Penny Clive

Penelope June Clive AO is an Australian arts patron, known for her philanthropic support of cultural institutions, particularly in the state of Tasmania.[1][2]

Clive is known for her association with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, of which she is a trustee, but she has also been involved with other organisations including the University of Tasmania's Cultural Collections Advisory Council, the ABC's Arts & Culture Review Panel and the Art Gallery of New South Wales.[1][2]

In 2008, Clive established the Detached Cultural Association, which has since collaborated with and supported numerous organisations including the Australia Council, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and the Charlie Perkins Scholarship Trust.[1][3][4]

For her support of the arts, Clive was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours.[1]
