People presence management refers to the centralized processes that encompass visitor management, employee management, contractor management, identity management and emergency management.

A people presence management system tracks, monitors and reports on the flow of visitors, contractors and employees in and around sites and zones. People presence management systems record identity data and store any documentation relevant to the subject’s presence onsite.

A people presence management system may use a computer network to monitor and record information, or it may be an online system offered as a service.
