Samir A T Kamara, commonly known as Pepper Peru, was born on December 23rd, 1994, to Liberian parents and is a Liberian national.

Pepper, as he is widely called, started his footballing career with a local community team called Juvenile FC in the Barnersville Area B Community in 2003. As a kid with such great talent, he moved on to a fourth tier club called Pelham FC as he started his footballing career in the local leagues. He later played for a series of clubs, both fourth and third division, winning the 4th division championship in 2006/2007 with Black Stars FC. After a brilliant performance, he later played for his mother team named after him, called Pepper FC, in 2010/2011 and won the golden boot with a record high 18 goals in the Garnersville Sub Committee 3rd Division league. With such achievement, he was scouted by Margibi County to play in the national county sports meet where he became a regular starter and played five out of six matches, going on to win the championship with Margibi County that very year 2011/2012.

After a brilliant performance in the national county sports meet, Pepper was scouted by newly big spender Monrovia FC by their Swedish coach Joahn Sangdal to ply his trade in the 1st division league, playing two seasons with Monrovia FC and scoring his first goal on his debut in the Liberia FA Cup match where he came on as a substitute and later scored 8 league goals.

Pepper later played for Liscr FC in 2016/2017 and came as runners up that year in their national 1st division league. After a two season spell at Liscr, he was later transferred to BYC FC after a splendid performance with his District team in the national District league in 2017 where he scored 3 goals and took his team to the final, later coming as runners up again.

Currently with BYC FC, he helped the team achieve 2nd place in the 1st Division league and thus featured against Supersport United of South Africa in the Caf Confederation Cup match in the 1st leg in Liberia. He also played in the inaugural WAFU club tournament that was staged in Senegal in April 2017, coming on as a substitute against the champions of Senegal, US Goree, and scoring the second penalty during the shootout. He played the full 90 minutes in the 3rd place match against the champion team of Ghana, WA All Stars.
