Per Tamsen (born 25 August 1967 in Halmstad) is a Swedish architect. In 2004 he co-founded the Oslo-based architecture practice Manthey Kula, together with Beate Hølmebakk.[1]
Per Tamsen studied architecture at Lund University, graduating in 1997. During his studies he was visiting student at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, and at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.
The work of Manthey Kula has been nominated four times for the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award (2020, 2018, 2011, 2009). In 2022 Tamsen received the Prince Eugene Medal for outstanding artistic achievement.
