Perception is a visual effects and design lab based in Secaucus, New Jersey. Perception was established in 2001 by Co-Founders, Danny Gonzalez and Jeremy Lasky, with its first studio located in New York City.[1] Perception is best known for its design work and collaborations on blockbuster films and global technology brands.[2]
For the first 10 years after inception, Perception focused on designing advertisements and branding initiatives for broadcast networks and ad agencies.[3] In 2009, Perception collaborated with Marvel Studios on Iron Man 2 to conceptualize Stark Technology for Iron Man, projecting the company into working on science fiction films and real-world technology.[4]
For film, Perception has designed interfaces, technology and title sequences with Marvel Studios, Disney, Pixar Animation Studios[5], DC[6], Sony[7] and others. Perception has also partnered with technology and automotive brands such as General Motors[8], IBM and Intel to conceptualize screens, digital displays and user experience models for a variety of cars and technology products.[9]
