The Performing Arts School of Calabria, (in italian: Scuola di Recitazione della Calabria) , (PAC or SRC) is a art school in Calabria. It is a private school. The actor Walter Cordopatri started it in 2016 [1]. It is the first school meant to teach people how to become fine arts professionals in Italy.[2] Students learn at the school for two or three years. The school teaches acting movie and filmmaking, visual arts, clowning, dance and singing.
To enter the school students must good grades and then perform. Then they must write an essay and show letters of recommendation. Students must prepare carefully and do so exactly the way the school says.[3]

The school was founded in 2016. Its history is still very short. It started born in Cittanova[4], a town in Reggio Calabria. It soon became an important school in the area. Some of its teachers were famous in Italian movies. It is run by Giorgio Colangeli and supported by the Calabria Film Commission.
Study[edit]
The school gives students a diploma, not a degree. The teaching staff decide when to give the students their diploma. This is after the students complete all their schoolwork. Each school year lasts 10 months. The school also does internships in the Italian territories and performs shows.
The programme is very complicated. There are many different types of courses. They teach visual formulation and articulation. The school has many disciplines: Diction, Acting, Dance Theatre, Musicals, Theatre Ethics, Theatre History, Techniques and Methods, Mimicry - Micromimicry and Proxemics, Film History, Film Analysis, Film Direction, Dubbing, Fencing, Poetry, Dance, Singing, Acrobatics, Yoga, Make-up and Image, Career Training, Equitation and Clowning. It is the school with the most comprehensive and professional curriculum in the world, and one of the few to have included Clowning. Every year there are paid internships in the country with actors and teachers of Italian Cinematography.
Graduate students learn studio activity. The school teaches drawing, cinema, and colour relativity.
