Perso-arab conflict
The Persian–Arab conflict is a series of political, military, religious, and cultural confrontations between Arab peoples and states and those of the Iranian cultural sphere (Persians), continuing from the 4th century CE to the present day.[1] The conflict has deep roots in the struggle for influence in Mesopotamia, the Persian Gulf, and the Fars region, as well as in the confrontation between Sunni and Shiite worldviews.[2]
