The Perth International Law Journal (often Perth ILJ) is the academic journal of the University of Western Australia International Law Club. It is an annual open-access, peer-reviewed, student-edited international law journal.[1][2][3] First published in 2016, it provides a forum for the airing of articles on topics of current legal significance and practical notes on international law, comparative law and international relations.

The Perth ILJ was established in 2016 by the UWA International Law Club, with the aid of the UWA Law School.

Faculty advisors include Professor Stephen Smith, Professor Erika Techera, Assistant Professor Philipp Kastner, Dr Fiona McGaughey, Dr Jade Lindley, and Dr Dominic Dagbanja.

The journal publishes one volume a year on diverse topics in both public and private international law. Recent volumes have included articles on international criminal law, international human rights law, harmonisation of law, the Pedra Branca dispute, the UN international trusteeship system, and the nuclear weapons advisory opinion.

The journal follows the Australian Guide to Legal Citation.

The Perth ILJ is included in the open access Australasian Legal Scholarship Library,[4] HeinOnline [5], and the Cardiff Index to Legal Abbreviations.[6]
