Petal (Petal Technology LLC) is a neurotechnology company that makes brain-computer interface (BCI) software.
Petal was founded in Chicago, IL on Oct. 16, 2016 by Dan Schmitz. In 2017, Schmitz added to the team James Glazer, whom he met through a post on an online forum, soliciting help with a neurotechnology hobby project on which Schmitz had been working. The company sells access to its BCI APIs and desktop applications that decode brainwave signals and translate them into usable values.
