Peter Freund
Peter B. Freund is the principal owner of Trinity Sports Holdings, a portfolio company that both owns and operates professional sports teams and venues throughout North America. Trinity Sports Holdings portfolio includes interests in Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees and Minor League Baseball’s Memphis Redbirds, Charleston RiverDogs and Williamsport Crosscutters. In addition, Trinity Sports Holdings has signed an expansion agreement to bring United States League professional soccer to downtown Memphis, Tenn. for 2019. Trinity Sports Holdings was also named Ballpark Digest’s 2017 Organization of the Year.
Peter currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the Pacific Coast and New York-Penn professional baseball leagues, where he is a member of their respective executive committees. Further, he is the President of the Redbirds Community Fund, an organization which supports the Memphis RBI program (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) along with numerous community outreach initiatives.
Peter graduated from the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, N.Y. and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. Peter is a trustee of the Rippowam Cisqua School, a coeducational independent day school for grades pre-kindergarten through nine, which he also attended. Peter resides in Bedford, N.Y, and Big Sky, Mt. with his wife, Mimi, and twin daughters.
