Peter Harris Kent (born June 23, 1957 in North Vancouver) is a Canadian actor and former stuntman. He started his career as Arnold Schwarzenegger's body double and stuntman in the movie The Terminator in 1984 and continued to work with Schwarzenegger for more than 20 years.
Biography[edit]
In 1983 Kent moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film career. After six months living at the YMCA off Sunset beach he met director James Cameron who offered him the role of Arnold Schwarzenegger's stunt man. Some years before this[when?] Kent had been involved in a motor vehicle accident where he received multiple skull fractures, broken cheekbones, a crushed nose and a fractured jaw. This had made his face resemble Arnold Schwarznegger.[citation needed]
Kent continued to work with Schwarzenegger for over two decades, performing many stunts. In 1996 while filming Eraser, Kent was almost killed when he was struck by a three-ton shipping container. After this he decided to stop working with stunts.[1]
After 14 years in Hollywood Kent returned home to Vancouver where he has continued to act, write and produce. In 2007 he married a nurse, Marcia Kent.[2]
In 2009 Kent was introduced in to Hollywood Stuntmen Hall of Fame for outstanding achievement.[3][better source needed]
