Peter Hull is an American economist and econometrician. He currently holds an Assistant Professorship at the University of Chicago Department of Economics.
Hull has significantly contributed to the development of advanced statistical methods in economics. Particularly, he has advanced the application of Instrumental Variables methods for estimating causal effects. Hull's research spans several topics in Labor Economics, the Economics of Education, Healthcare Economics, and the Economics of Discrimination.
Education
Hull earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics-Economics from Wesleyan University in 2010. He received his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017.
