Peter Jean Marie is an American former model turned Fashion Designer.[1]

Early life[edit]

Jean Marie was born in the city of Pompano Beach, Fl and raised in the city of Naples, Fl. Peter attended St. John Neumann Catholic High-School. He graduated from the Miami International University of Art & Design in 2018 with an Associate Degree in Fashion Design.

Career[edit]

Peter was introduced into the fashion industry at the age of 16. He started as a model and would later decide that he's want to get into the creative side to launch his self-named label Peter Jean Marie. After graduating from the Miami International University of Art & Design, Peter worked at Saks 5th Avenue for a few months until he saved enough to launch his brand. Peter went viral in 2019 after NBC2 learned about the former manager at Saks 5th Avenue that told Jean Marie "look Peter you're not a designer. In order for you to be a designer you have to be selling your clothes within this store".[2] Peter decided to start a tour to appear at every mall and sell his designs. His first pop-up shop was in 2018 at the Coastland Center Mall. In 2020, The Ritz-Carlton became the first major retailer to carry Peter's self-named private label.[1]
