Petite Cascade de Tendon is a small waterfall located in the commune of Tendon in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region of northeastern France. It is a single-drop plunge waterfall with a height of approximately 5 meters situated along the Scouet stream, a tributary of the Moselle via the Barba and the Vologne. It is part of the Vosges mountains.[1] The basin at the bottom has a depth of 1 metre.[2][3]
The Petite Cascade is the smaller counterpart to the nearby and more prominent Grande Cascade de Tendon, which lies about 2 kilometers further upstream.[4]
Tourism
Despite its modest size, the Petite Cascade is a popular stop for visitors hiking through the forest trails in the area. The waterfall site is accessible year-round with a footpath to the falls from a specific parking area next to the waterfall. The area is accessible by foot via marked hiking trails and is included in nature walks and local guided tours. The Petite Cascade is surrounded by lush vegetation, and wooden footbridges offer views of the falls and the surrounding forest.[5][6]
