Petros Koukouras (born 12 October 1988) is a Greek football manager and the former Assistant coach of the South Sudan national football team. He signed a one-year contract.[1] [2]

Previously Koukouras managed Pacific Heroes FC in Ghana (former Dunkwa United). [3] He left the shores of Ghana after the 2018/2019 league season was truncated as a result of the airing of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ video dubbed “Number 12”.

Koukouras retired from playing after suffering a slipped disk injury at a very young age.

Koukouras has coached in several countries; England, Greece, China, Ghana and South Sudan. His early career was focused on elite youth development through roles with NGPFA, Reading F.C. as a scout, P.A.O.N.E., Kordelio FC, Desn Sports club and Real Madrid Soccer Clinics.

In 2014 Koukouras moved into senior professional football when he joined the coaching staff of the Greek sides Sparta F.C. and Apollon Pontus F.C. He has more recently appointed as the Head Coach of the Division One League, Ghana side Pacific Heroes FC.[4] He has also linked with other roles in Ghana including Accra Hearts of Oak S.C. [5] In July 2019, Koukouras Joined South Sudan national football team as an assistant coach where they managed to book a slot in the group stages of the qualifiers for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon after edging Seychelles 3-1 on aggregate in their two-legged play-off tie.[6]
