Petrus Johannes Justus Daniel Kilian (born 24 February 1850, Harrismith, Orange Free State - died 10 November 1941, Heidelberg, Transvaal, South Africa) was a South African military leader and member of the Heidelberg Commando.[1] His father, Justus Daniel Kilian, was a Voortrekker. He was largely of French, Dutch and German descent (He was an Afrikaner). He was also one of the leaders of the Dutch Reformed Church of Heidelberg.

Battle of Majuba

A newspaper article published in 1933, eight years prior to Kilian's death, stated that he was the last survivor of the battle of Majuba. Kilian fought in six South African wars against the British. In the article it states that he was a commandant, in which he thoroughly describes the battle.
