Petzone is a pet store chain based in Al-Rai, Kuwait. Petzone is also located in UAE and Bahrain. It is the largest pet store in Kuwait and one of the GCC's largest distributor and supplier of pet products.[3][4]
Overview[edit]
It was founded in 2010 as a pet store selling dog, cat, bird and fish supplies.[1] They have over 50 branches in and around Kuwait and in the United Arab Emirates with further plans on expanding into more locations to meet growing demand. They currently supply more than 200 international brands in their stores and have grown their investments for their online portals in order to capitalize on the pet industry's growth in the region. [5][6] Petzone occasionally hosts events and gatherings at its stores.[7] In 2023, Petzone opened its first store in Bahrain which provides aquarium and grooming services.[8] Petzone also operates through its online retail website.[9]
Awards and Recognitions[edit]
In 2021, the UK Pet Industry's Petquip Awards gave Petzone the Gold Award in the International Retailer, Wholesaler or Distributor of the Year category for its future vision and its pioneering focus on educating pet owners.[10]
In 2022, Petzone was given the Direct Retailer of the Year award at the 17th Retail Asia Awards for setting high industry standards, its educational programs and its support towards animal welfare organizations and charities.[2][11]
In 2022, Petzone was awarded as one of the Most Admired Store Designs of the Year by the Images RetailME Awards 2022.[12][13]
In 2022, Petzone was a finalist under the Pet Retail Chain of the Year category at the Pet Industry Federation Award.[14]
In 2023, Petzone won an award for its Marketing and Customer Reach at the IMAGES ME E-Commerce Awards.[15]
