Pharnacyas
Pharnacyas was a Persian eunuch serving under Persian king Xerxes II.
According to Ctesias, Pharnacyas had the greatest influence over the king, next to Bagorazus and Menostanes[1]. Both Pharnacyas and Menostanes assisted Sogdianus to kill Xerxes and became the new king.
However, after Darius II defeated and executed Sogdianus, Pharnacyas was condemned to be stoned to death[2]. Menostanes was also arrested and condemned, but anticipated his fate by suicide.
Apart from Ctesias, there are no other classical sources on Pharnacyas.
