Phi is a 3D modeler, created by Phenometry, that revolutionises organic 3D design.
Intuitive, fast and easy to learn and use, Phi enables everyone to freely design and manipulate 3D shapes with top quality, watertight and smooth surfaces in a fraction of the time.
Phi is a curve-based modeler that uses state-of-the-art proprietary technologies to enable you to focus on your design ideas. You draw natural free-form curves reflecting your design intent, and Phi automatically and interactively calculates and fills in the surfaces.
The Phi modeling kernel is based on Phenometry’s long-term R&D on n-sided surface patches, a mathematical infrastructure much more suited to the purpose than existing ones, such as Nurbs or SubD. In addition, intuitive operations allow you to edit everything interactively in no time without sacrificing precision or smoothness.
Ease of modeling is combined with engineering quality, bridging artistic design with precise engineering.
Phi is cloud-native, built on the latest web browser technologies and runs within Onshape.
Phi received recognition from DEVELOP3D for being one of the top 30 technologies for the year 2022.
On July 2023, Phenometry launched Phi Touch, Version 1.10.0. Phi Touch runs directly in any browser (on a tablet or mobile device, or even on a desktop browser).
