Phil Blattenberger
Philip Arthur Blattenberger (born August 30, 1985) is an American writer and filmmaker.
He is most notable for his work on Point Man (2019), which he wrote, produced, and directed.[1] The only original narrative feature-length Vietnam War film in American cinematic history to shoot on location in Vietnam, Point Man was acquired for global distribution by Vision Films and Sony Entertainment in summer 2018,[2] slated for U.S. and Canadian release in February 2019.[3] Vision and Sony's acquisition spurred him to featured premieres at the Academy Award qualifying St. Louis International Film Festival, where he was nominated for best first-time filmmaker.[4] He was also nominated for best director and best original screenplay at the Sydney Indie Film Festival and won the top prize of Best Film.
Blattenberger's second feature film, Ratlines, is slated for release in 2020.[5]
