From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Philip A. Casey (1982)[1] is an American executive and researcher.[2][3] Casey is the founder and CEO of Institutional LPs.[4][5] Casey has ties to Ivy League university endowments and foundations as an advisor and institutional investor.[5][6] His research and development is on proprietary technology platforms for institutional investors.[2][7][8]

Education

Casey has a PhD from Princeton University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.[1][2]

Career

Harvard Business School based a case study on Casey.[3] In it, he discussed his career as an executive and researcher. This included the importance of business execution, revenue growth, capital efficiency, and alignment with investors.[3] He also discussed the Yale Endowment Model developed at the Yale University endowment and its significance for institutional investors. Casey has provided advice and analysis to the United States government on these topics in testimony to the legislative and executive branches.[9] He has also been the chairman and a director of related companies and investment institutions.[10][11][12]

Casey led the R&D of the proprietary technology platforms at Analytic Investors and Wells Fargo acquired the company.[2][7][13] Analytic Investors had $15 billion in assets under management for institutional investors.[14] Wells Fargo reportedly acquired the company for its technology platforms based on his R&D.[13][14][15] This was reportedly to expand into high-growth technology-related areas of investment management that are R&D-intensive. These technology-related areas included big data, machine learning, and quantitative techniques.[7][8][16][17] The company's technology platforms were integrated into Wells Fargo Asset Management and Casey subsequently led the R&D.[2][7][8][14]

For the Wells Fargo Championships on the PGA Tour, Casey led the research, analysis, and commentary for PGA champions.[18] These champions have included Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, and Scottie Scheffler.[18] Beyond the Wells Fargo Championships, Casey has done this for major PGA championships. These championships have included The Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship, British Open, and The Players Championship.[19]
