Phil Mattingly
Phil Mattingly is CNN's senior White House correspondent, based in the network's Washington, D.C. bureau. Prior to joining CNN in December 2015 as a New York-based correspondent he worked for Bloomberg Television.
Mattingly was moved to the White House beat in January 2021, having previously been a senior congressional correspondent with the network. He graduated from Ohio State University in 2006, where he was a scholar varsity athlete. He received his Master's Degree in journalism from Boston University in 2008.[1]
In November 2020, Mattingly was named one of "ten election standouts" by the Los Angeles Times for his onscreen performance in presenting results from the contest in which Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump.[2]
