Philianalysis Philianalysis is a psychological theory developed by the psychologist Élison Santos, it postulates that the ability to love is a constitutive part of our consciousness and can be analyzed in a psychotherapeutic process. The theoretical basis are the contribution of Viktor Frankl about the meaning of life, the contributions of Giulio Tononi on consciousness and others. Through the analysis of clinical cases with couples and adults, it was observed that when people understand the mechanisms of the psyche projected in their own history and that no matter what happens in their life, they will always have the ability to love, they find ways to live more freely their ability to love, strengthening themselves in front of psychic disorders and finding the meaning of life, becoming also a promoter of peace. "Some patients with depression and panic disorder showed significant improvement when they were able to demonstrate their love or when they realized that some people they knew needed their love" Élison Santos The term Philia means, for the Greeks, brotherly love and solidarity. The first letter of Philia is Phi or φ in the Greek alphabet. The Philianalysis is a way to analyze the processes of consciousness in the development of the capacity to love. The term "analysis" has its origin also in ανάλυση Greek and means the resolution of something complex into simple elements, it literally has the meaning of break, loose, solution. The Philianalysis is a process that seeks to loosen the ability to love, to free it, find the solution for compliance, as existential emptiness of the healing process and to strengthen the personality before the psychic disorders, prophylaxis and promote reflection about overcoming social conflicts and promoting peace. It says that if we are made to love, we find happiness in loving. The Philianalysis aims not only the restoration of mental health, but also a method of prophylaxis for mental disorders and existential neuroses.
